About this course

This course is based on lecturer led learning and revision, followed by the examination on the afternoon of the final day. 

A full set of study notes is provided on application and six weeks’ preparatory study must be undertaken prior to attending the Academy.

This course and examination covers the working principles and maintenance of valves, pumps, compressed air systems, hydraulic control systems, clutches, gearboxes, propellers and thrusts, shafting and bearings and electrical plant.
