Maritime safety

Maritime safety - boarding lifeboatTo meet the increasing demands of mandatory safety training we offer the full range of sea survival courses. Our facilities on campus include well-equipped classrooms, extensive maintenance and workshop areas and pier head facilities.

At the pier head seafarers can practice the launch and recovery of life rafts and rescue boats, using a single arm davit and partially and totally enclosed survival craft using a twin fall gravity davit.

The training pool is specifically equipped with a jumping platform, emergency alarms, water spray, sound and lighting effects in order to enhance the realism of the procedures.
